Project & Delivery Management

  • Own end-to-end project delivery across multiple workstreams, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, quality, and outcomes.
  • Plan, execute, and finalize IT projects according to defined timelines and budgets.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and success metrics in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive delivery plans outlining milestones, dependencies, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
  • Drive day-to-day execution including stand-ups, progress tracking, action items, and escalation management.
  • Monitor project progress continuously and provide regular, detailed status reports covering milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
  • Identify, assess, and manage delivery risks early; create and execute mitigation plans.
  • Manage change control, RAID logs, delivery documentation, and governance standards.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions to improve delivery predictability and quality.

Stakeholder & Customer Management

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including solution architects, platform/DevOps engineers, security teams, and customer stakeholders.
  • Manage customer expectations through clear communication, weekly status updates, and steering committee reports.
  • Resolve project issues and conflicts proactively, escalating to senior leadership when required.
  • Support presales-to-delivery transitions by clarifying scope, deliverables, and handover requirements.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and contractors to ensure contractual deliverables, timelines, and service quality are met.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Own delivery metrics such as schedule adherence, delivery predictability, cycle time, incident trends, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes, tooling, and team practices.

People Management Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and coach team members through goal setting, regular 1:1s, and performance feedback.
  • Drive hiring, onboarding, and team scaling plans aligned with project and delivery demand.
  • Build capability development plans including training paths, shadowing, and readiness for customer-facing engagements.
  • Foster a healthy, accountable team culture focused on learning, collaboration, and customer outcomes.
  • Coordinate with HR and Operations on capacity planning, utilization, and staffing.

Skills Required:

Core Skills

  • Strong project and program management skills with proven ownership of complex deliveries.
  • Experience managing delivery teams across engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, and platform domains.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Strong planning, reporting, and documentation skills (RAID logs, timelines, change control).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across customers, leadership, and delivery teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Comfort working across time zones and managing distributed teams.

Technical Awareness (High-Level)

(Hands-on execution not required)

  • Cloud-native and platform concepts including:
  • Kubernetes and containers
  • OpenShift (preferred)
  • CI/CD and GitOps
  • Observability fundamentals (monitoring, logging, alerting)
  • Infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of overall experience, with at least 3+ years in IT project or program delivery leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing IT projects across infrastructure, software development, and systems integration.
  • Prior people management experience with direct reports is preferred.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification is a strong plus.
